Some believe that Light is a particle; others believe that Light is a wave. And then there are a handful who believe that Light is a language.

And a few minutes with Shashi Nair or his art reveals that not only does he speak this language, but composes symphonies in it. Over 35 years of relentlessly evolving behind the cameras through his projects in India and overseas, he continues to seek and capture art. His vision and camera have often captured varied subjects that are time-less, stimulating, gorgeous, delicious and at times go from 0 -100 in under 10 seconds. His innate skill (and arguably his calling) lies in unearthing the emotion that is meant to be evoked in the audience. And as the world watches on, he articulates that through his photography.

On first appearances, he seems less of a photographing genius and more of a. human. Born in India, his passion for photography, steered him to be trained by the most creative minds stretching from Mumbai, India to Chicago, Illinois.

His approach to all subject is both daring and calculated and his collaborators continue to remain in awe of this rare blend of artistry. Independent modelling talents aside, his distinguished collaborators include Honda, Philips, Carlton UK, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hindustan UniLever, Bank of Baroda, Asian paints, Cadburys, Samsonite, Reliance group, Giordano, Volkswagen, Asian paints, Birla group & various fashion designers among others. His name and projects echo confidently within the walls of various advertising agencies in India like Lowe, J. Walter Thompson, O&M, FCBUlka, McCann Erickson, Mudra and Bates. etc.
